Madonna daughter turns a model

The 19-year-old, who has spent much of her life shying away from the public eye, agreed to take part in McCartney's latest campaign for her new perfume, Pop, because she approved of the message it was sending.

The campaign, which promotes self-acceptance and positive mutual support, is a conscious counterbalance to the potentially negative world of social media. Grimes, Kenya Kinski-Jones and Amanda Stenberg's involvement was announced previously.

“I go through this struggle myself, [where] women’s bodies have been made so public that everyone feels like they need to comment,” Leon told Vogue of the resonance she felt with Pop's be-true-to-yourself message of individuality. "I love when someone doesn’t pretend to be someone they are not," she added.

As news of her daughter's first foray into modeling broke, excited mom Madonna took to Instagram to share the first photograph to emerge from the campaign—a picture of Lourdes sporting lilac hair, a behind-the-scenes snap from the shoot."I miss this Beautiful Girl!" the excited Material Girl, 57, captioned the photograph. "Looking forward to seeing her very soon "MODEL". She's not going on castings for runway shows or shoots. A
famous designer, likely friends with her mom, who likes Lourdes and
maybe likes her personal style, thought she would be a good
representation of her new campaign and asked her to model. I don't get the
impression she thinks she's going to be going out there to be the next

The Ugliest DOG Emerges Winner

A 17-year-old Chinese Crested Chihuahua with legs bowed out like a frog and an oozing sore is the winner of this year's World's Ugliest Dog contest.
SweePee Rambo took home the title at the annual Petaluma World's Ugliest Dog contest Friday night at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds after besting 15 other malformed pooches, The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reported Saturday.

Judges in the contest, now on its 28th year, take into account bad appearance, including stench, poor complexion and a host of other inherited and acquired maladies.
SweePee has a mohawk that glistens in the sun and a tongue that sticks out. She is blind in both eyes and has to wear doggie diapers.
Owner Jason Wurtz, 44, of Encino said he got the dog as a gift for his first wife but after a week she didn't want anything to do with the gremlin-like pooch. Wurtz, however, said he couldn't bear to let her go, calling her a "ride or die chick" in the description he wrote for the contest.

When the 4-pound Chinese Crested Chihuahua mix was announced the winner, Wurtz's younger brother, Jeffrey Wurtz, burst into tears, shouting SweePee's name, and shaking a homemade sign that read "SweePee Rambo for President 2016."

The presidential election was a theme present in the contest.
One pup named Himisaboo, who didn't place, had a flowing golden tuft that resembled that of the presumptive Republican nominee for president."Whether you love him, or loathe him, a vote for Himisaboo is a vote for a dog that looks like Donald Trump," said Heather Wilson, Himisaboo's owner, who drove out from Idaho for the occasion.
Jason Wurtz and SweePee took the first-place title and trophy and a prize of $15,000. He says he will use the money to pay for the removal of a tumor that recently popped up on SweePee's gum line.

EU SPELLS OUT PROCEDURE FOR UK TO LEAVE

Brexit: EU spells out procedure for UK to leaveThe European Union has clarified the way the UK can kickstart formal negotiations to exit the bloc following Thursday's referendum.
It says Britain can trigger Article 50, which sets a two-year deadline for a deal, by making a formal declaration either in a letter or a speech.
UK PM David Cameron has said he will step down by October to allow his successor to conduct the talks.
But EU foreign ministers have urged Britain to start the process soon.
Since Thursday's vote there has been intense speculation about when, and how, the UK might begin formal negotiations.
A spokesman for the European Council, which defines the EU's political direction and priorities, reiterated on Saturday that triggering Article 50 was a formal act which must be "done by the British government to the European Council".
"It has to be done in an unequivocal manner with the explicit intent to trigger Article 50," the spokesman said.
"It could either be a letter to the president of the European Council or an official statement at a meeting of the European Council duly noted in the official records of the meeting."

On Saturday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the EU had "no need to be particularly nasty in any way" in the negotiations with Britain.
She said that deterring other countries from leaving the EU should not be a priority in the talks.
Mrs Merkel added that she was not in favour of pushing for a speedy withdrawal."It shouldn't take forever, that's right, but I would not fight for a short timeframe," she said.

Mrs Merkel was speaking after several EU foreign ministers, including Germany's, had urged Britain to quickly implement its exit.
"This process should get under way as soon as possible so that we are not left in limbo but rather can concentrate on the future of Europe," German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said.
His Dutch counterpart Bert Koenders said the continent could not accept a political vacuum, saying "this will not be business as usual".Speaking later to the BBC, Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves said he didn't think it was "even legally possible" to force the UK to speed up the exit process.
"I understand it is very difficult for Prime Minister Cameron, who was against leaving the European Union, to now go ahead and do this," he told the BBC World Service's Newshour programme.
"I think we should give them time; let them decide how quickly they want to do it."
He described Britain's exit from the bloc as "a disaster" saying Estonia had often aligned itself with the UK and had counted on Britain to present their shared views.
The UK's decision to leave the EU has sent shockwaves across the continent with leaders of Eurosceptic parties in France, the Netherlands and Italy demanding referendums in their own countries.
New road map
In response, some EU politicians have called for speedy reforms to quell further unrest.
French economy minister Emmanuel Macron suggested a new mission statement should be drafted and put to a referendum of all EU citizens.
"We've never had the courage to organise a true European referendum in its real sense," he told a conference.
"We would first build this new project with European peoples and then submit this new road map, this new project, to a referendum [across the bloc]."
