The Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) on Sunday announced the death of a female goalkeeper,26-year old Jeanine Christelle Djomnang.
Djomang died less than 48 hours after another Cameroonian footballer Patrick Ekeng died on the field playing for Dinamo Bucharest in Romania.
Djomang, who played for Femina Stars Ebolowa, collapsed while warming up before a game and was rushed to the hospital. But she died before getting to the hospital.
Fecafoot suggested that she might have died of heart attack as she complained of chest pain as she prepared for the game against MINPROFF Yaounde in the Cameroon elite league, a BBC report says.
A book of condolence has been opened at the federation headquarters for both Ekeng and Djomanang.
